2017 Step Up For Scouts -- The Basics: Our Reach

Posted on Feb 13 2017 - 8:20am

Dear Scout Families,

I’m not sure if you know it but our Pack is part of a bigger Scouting organization in Central Texas called the Capitol Area Council. Hundreds of neighborhood Packs and Troops, just like ours, benefit from the support, training and opportunities provided to us by our council. Each of our Scouts and Leaders has been on the receiving end of their support.

Fall Service Project: Back Pack Buddies -- Each Den Making This Holiday Season a Special One for Another Child

Posted on Nov 19 2016 - 9:44am

As we enter the week of Thanksgiving - it time reflect on what we can be thankful for and a time to reach out to those in need. Our fall service project is called Backpack Buddies--Our pack has reached out to 9 boys that are either homeless or in foster care. The project is to have our scouts shop to fill a backpack for one of these kids to give them some holiday cheer. It’s kids helping kids. Each Den has been assigned a child-see attached list for information on the child. A backpack was given to each Den Leader earlier this month. We need the backpack returned to Mary Ann-- Monday, Nov 28th in order to have them distributed in time for the holidays.
